We have been dying to share this gorgeous wedding with you! This couple’s dream for an Irish wedding started, like many, before covid. After many reschedulings, pivoting like a ballerina, creative solutions and a determined resolve, the entire team of talented vendors and a couple with a wonderful attitude pulled off one of the most breathtaking, timeless weddings of Waterlily Wedding’s career. This was a pure delight to help style and plan. A huge shout out to the uber-talented Christina of Brosnan Photographic for this gorgeous gallery, Bella Botanica for the flowers, Shasta Bell and Appleberry Press for the stationary, and Cupcakes & Counting for the incredible statement piece cake — a dream team to plan and work with.
Like many, our couple found themselves in the position where their dream destination wedding had to be rescheduled quite a few times. There was a moment where it looked like it wasn’t going to happen, but we held steadfast and once Ireland opened up, we sprang into action. Mishy took the lead on the styling and design of the day, working closely with the couple and vendors to bring their exact vision to life, down to the smallest detail. The style was modern-traditional with botanical notes: the ceremony would take place in a traditional church with their own priest who made the trek from America, and the reception would be a contemporary take on the traditional wedding style. The overall vibe on the brief was “romantic, timeless, and elegant” and with the gorgeous details you can see that’s exactly what came to be.
The custom color palette Mishy created was heavily inspired by the Irish countryside and summer season, modernizing a traditional wedding palette of blush, green and white tones with pops of hunter green and using dusty blue and grey tones as modern neutrals. She worked closely with the clients to get just the right combination of color tones that would feel light and airy but not get lost with the great Georgian details Mount Juliet has to work with. We really leaned into the pastoral setting and the hunter green color for the gorgeous custom created invitation suite by Shasta Bell. A mix of classic elegant block print and calligraphy style together with accents of custom wax seals in gold instantly gave a pop of formal tone. We worked closely with Ireland-based Appleberry Press to produce the day-of signage, including the “unplugged ceremony sign” and custom sketch welcome signs. We continued the sketch and venue details in the custom-designed welcome bags. The table setting details were very important to achieve the right vibe and presentation. Gorgeous centerpieces in our color palette by Bella Botanica and accent candles drew the eye. We complimented the look with custom-ordered hunter green napkins and ribbon with gorgeous on the day stationary by Shasta Bell. The look is timeless, romantic, and so sophisticated.
