As we’re in the middle of winter, we are so inspired and excited to share with you one of our all time favorite fall weddings! Sarah and Josh got married at Waterford Castle and we helped with the design, styling, and planning for the day. The theme was “elegant fall castle” wedding, and we wanted to bring the stunning garden setting inside the cozy castle. This is a wonderful example of how elegant an indoor castle ceremony can be, and how to embrace bolder color tones for your wedding day. The Details
We had so many incredible details sprinkled throughout the day! The custom stationary suite was the first sneak peek the guests got as to the rich, regal color palette for the day. We centered the color palette on peacock tones, using teals, emerald and dark greens, and a range of blues as the main color tones, then accented beautifully with autumn colors inspired by a sunset in fall. Accenting with black and gold created a wonderful regal effect and really allowed the color palette to shine throughout the castle.
The style was heavily influenced by a garden and naturally foraged, woodland look: we went for lots of texture and autumnal tones without being overdone on the predictable fall leaves and pumpkins look. It felt sophisticated and was wonderfully powerful against the castle’s stone and wood paneling!
The stationary for the day was all custom; we chose to lean in hard with the emerald green tone to really let the rest of the color palette shine. Bold solid gold charger plates, gold cutlery, and burnt orange napkins on the tables together with gold taper holders and mixed orange and taupe colored candles added warmth and dimension to the tables. An accent goblet in blue was the perfect pop, but custom teal runners on the tables really helped drive the overall presentation and allowed the flowers to shine. A huge thank you to The Garden for their gorgeous flowers and Signature Rentals for the candles and accent pieces!
