This month we’re focusing on how to personalize your day.

We firmly believe at Waterlily Weddings that each couple should focus on telling their own unique story. As planners and designers, we work with you to discuss your vision of the day and how we can extract and define those finer details that are uniquely you, and how to translate them on your wedding day in a breathtaking, gorgeous way.

“Even though you’re having a destination wedding, there are plenty of ways we can work in personal and unique details.”

You’ll be surprised how easy it is with a bit of creativity and flexibility, Our team will work with you to conceptualize these details and how to make them happen. To get your inspiration going, take a look at some wonderful personalized details some of our real Waterlily Wedding couples have done.

Custom color palettes help drive your wedding’s overall style and vibe you want to convey.  They are so important to make sure that what you envision and how you want to express yourself will also make sense in the space with the lighting, set up, and details of your location and venue. Only a seasoned professional who understands these things can help create the perfect palette. Once we have that, choosing elements like stationary, table setting items, colors of table cloths, etc. is really quite easy. Working with one of our designers not only ensures a perfect presentation, but also the peace of mind knowing the end result will be incredible. This is an example of a custom color palette we did for Kelly & Paddy’s wedding day at Mount Juliet! Check the blog for more!

The ceremony is a really important place we can work on personalizing your day. It can be a simple detail like Claire & Andrew’s unity candle (pictured) that had an Irish blessing printed on, or working with us to create a completely bespoke ceremony. Part of the huge advantage of getting married abroad is being able to utilize and work in incredible details like the location, Irish traditions, and creating your own unique ceremony. We’ve helped couples from choosing music, working in ethnic and cultural traditions, Irish traditions, creative and fun elements like unity beer (instead of candles) and much, much more.

Stationary designs are the first impression your guests will get of how your day will look like, and can be the finishing touches on the day that take your reception to the next level. It’s a really easy way to elevate your table’s look and add a bit of personal touch so effortlessly. Don’t be intimated on this element: there are so many design concepts, options, and vendors (including easy DIY) to suite any time frame and budget. As a designer, we really can’t recommend focusing some time and thought on this element enough!

Creating unique and meaningful displays is a huge way you can at once personalize and elevate your wedding day. Working in things like family photos, creating custom or interactive displays will engage your guests and immediately set an emotional tone you’re going for. For example, if you wanted a more relaxed vibe at your castle wedding, we’ve had couples use polaroids for seating chart displays, guests books, and thank you notes.

We have many more creative ideas to share with you! Make sure to contact us today for more creative inspiration and expert advice on how to personalize your wedding day!
